Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.35%, while the index fell 0.91%, and the index declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens AG Class N (ETR:), which rose 0.92% or 1.18 points to trade at 128.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas AG (ETR:) added 0.89% or 1.52 points to end at 172.00 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 0.74% or 2.00 points to 272.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which fell 5.43% or 1.33 points to trade at 23.18 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.06% or 5.30 points to end at 251.70 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.97% or 1.88 points to 93.56.
The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.04% to 70.18, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which was up 1.64% to settle at 1.71 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which gained 1.47% to close at 20.06.
The worst performers were K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 6.74% to 14.73 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 6.25% to settle at 16.43 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was down 6.09% to 21.60 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.09% to 31.35, PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was up 3.02% to settle at 12.98 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.04% to close at 70.18.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.25% to 16.43 in late trade, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which lost 2.63% to settle at 31.50 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.06% to 251.70 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 377 to 238 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in K&S AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.74% or 1.07 to 14.73. Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.09% or 0.94 to 31.35.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.61% to 16.22 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.45% or 8.95 to $1,990.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.50% or 1.21 to hit $81.72 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 1.09 to trade at $85.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.86.
