Travelers, Intel share gains lead Dow’s 420-point rally

Shares of Travelers and Intel are seeing strong returns Friday afternoon, leading the Dow Jones Industrial Average rally. The Dow
DJIA,
+1.05%
was most recently trading 420 points higher (1.1%), as shares of Travelers
TRV,
+6.72%
and Intel
INTC,
+3.02%
are contributing about 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Travelers’s shares are up $12.04, or 6.1%, while those of Intel have risen $1.95 (4.2%), combining for an approximately 92-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include IBM
IBM,
+2.78%,
Salesforce
CRM,
+2.34%,
and McDonald’s
MCD,
+2.10%.
A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
