US To Sell $85 Bln In Reopened 8-Week Bills Thu

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)–The U.S. Treasury plans to auction $85 billion in reopened 8-week bills Thursday.

The debt will settle on Nov. 21, 2023 and will mature Jan. 16, 2024.

The debt is a reopening of an issue first sold on Sept. 19, 2023.

The Federal Reserve holds $1.641 billion of maturing securities for its own account. Amounts bid by the Federal Reserve banks for their own account will be in addition to the public offering amount.

Noncompetitive tenders for the 8-week bills, available in minimum denominations of $100, must be received by 11:00 AM Eastern Time Thursday. Competitive tenders available in minimum denominations of $100, must be received by 11:30 AM Eastern Time.

The CUSIP number is 912797HZ3.
